The System of Wasiyyat is a blessed spiritual institution established by the Promised Messiah, Hadrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (peace be upon him), through his historic book Al-Wasiyyat (The Will). It calls believers to rise above mere profession of faith and dedicate their lives, wealth, and abilities to the service of Allah and the advancement of Islam. Al-Wasiyyat describes this as a scheme for those who desire to make exemplary personal and financial sacrifices for the cause of Islam. Wasiyyat, however, is far more than a financial commitment. The Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) made clear that sacrifice of wealth alone is not sufficient: a Musi must strive to live according to the commandments of Islam, pursue Taqwa and purity, believe sincerely in Allah and His Messenger, and faithfully fulfil the rights of others.
