Canadian Muslim Community Condemns Senseless Shooting in Orlando, Florida

Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada grieved and saddened to learn of mass shooting terrorist attack in Orlando

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada categorically and unequivocally condemns the senseless shooting that took place at a nightclub in Orlando, Florida, USA. The tragic shooting has reportedly left 50 people dead and many more critically injured.

“We are deeply saddened to learn of the devastating shooting that took place in Orlando, Florida,” said Mr. Lal Khan Malik, National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada. “We offer our sincerest condolences to the victims' families, friends and loved ones. We are grieving with our American brothers and sisters during this tragic loss.”

The Holy Qur'an teaches us that to kill even one person is likened to killing all of humanity. Islam places very high regard for the sanctity of life and it is absolutely un-Islamic to take the lives of innocent individuals.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at prays for solace and fortitude for all those affected by this tragedy.
