Canada’s Largest Multi Faith Event
Eight Faiths and Philosophical Traditions Unite to Explore Pathways to World Peace
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Canada is pleased to announce the 44th World Religions Conference, taking place on Sunday, November 22, 2026, at Lazaridis Hall, Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Ontario.
This year’s particularly timely and thought-provoking theme is:
“From Battlegrounds to Common Grounds – Resolving the Conflicts Before the End”
A Timely Message for a World in Conflict
At a time when wars, geopolitical tensions, hatred, and divisions continue to threaten global peace, the need for dialogue, reconciliation, and mutual understanding has never been greater.
The conference will bring together distinguished scholars and representatives of eight religious and philosophical traditions to explore how spiritual teachings, moral principles, and shared human values can help prevent conflicts, overcome divisions, and build a more peaceful world.
Through thought-provoking presentations, sacred recitations, and audience discussions, participants will explore diverse perspectives on one of humanity’s most pressing questions: How can we move from battlegrounds to common grounds before it is too late?
Over Four Decades of Promoting Peace and Understanding
First organized in Canada in 1981, the World Religions Conference has grown into one of Canada’s largest and longest-running multifaith events, attracting hundreds of participants annually.
For more than four decades, WRC has provided a unique platform for religious scholars, community leaders, students, academics, and people of diverse backgrounds to exchange ideas, deepen mutual understanding, and promote peaceful coexistence.
This year’s conference will feature representatives from:
Judaism • Christianity • Islam • Hinduism • Buddhism • Sikhism • Indigenous Spirituality • Humanism
The conference is supported by numerous academic institutions, faith communities, municipalities, community organizations, and other partners committed to fostering dialogue and harmony.
