The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada strongly condemns the attack that took place on a Sikh Gurdwara in Kabul, Afghanistan. It is reported that at least 25 people were killed, and several others were left injured in the horrific attack. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at urges for calm and patience as authorities work swiftly to restore security and order.
Islam forbids all forms of terror and extremism. The Holy Qur’an teaches that killing even one innocent person is akin to killing all of mankind.
“We are deeply saddened by the barbaric attack that took place at a Sikh Gurdwara in Kabul,” says Mr. Lal Khan Malik, National President of the Ahmadiyya Musim Jama`at Canada. “Afghanistan’s small Sikh community is one of the few religious minorities in the country, protected by law but often targeted by extremists. We strongly condemn this horrific act and offer our sincerest prayers for the victims and their families.”
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada prays for solace and fortitude for all those left bereaved or affected by this tragedy.
