Canadian Muslim Community Deeply Concerned Over the Recent Anti-Islamic Incidents
Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at disturbed by the attack on a Muslim mother from London, Ontario and the hate crime at Quebec City Mosque
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada denounces the hate crime against a Muslim mother shopping at a London, ON supermarket, and the hate crime at Quebec City Mosque, where a pig-head was left at the Mosque’s entrance.. We live in a country that greatly values and protects religious freedoms and no individual should feel unsafe because on their beliefs.
Canada is known throughout the world as a peace-loving and open-hearted nation. These recent hateful incidents in London, ON and Quebec City are completely contradictory to Canadian values.
“We are very concerned about the most recent anti-Islamic incidents in Canada. Such hateful actions are not in line with Canadian values” said Mr. Lal Khan Malik, National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada. “Any effort aimed at dividing and creating fear amongst Canadians should be unanimously denounced.”
