‘Īd Mubarak

Insha`Allah! ‘Īdul Adha is celebrated across Canada on Tuesday, July 20th, 2021. It is celebrated to remember the spirit of the sacrifice of Hadhrat Ibrahim (as) (Prophet Abraham) for the sake of Allah.

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: 

On 27th May Khilafat Day is celebrated across Canada to praise Allah for the blessings of Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya.

Insha'Allah Canadians will be offering Īdul Fitr prayers on Thursday May 13, 2021 across Canada. Keeping in view the physical distancing restrictions, the ‘Īdul Fitr prayer will be offered in homes across the country.

In his Friday sermons, Huzoor Anwar (aa) also mentioned that Ahmadis should be careful to observe all government guidelines. Therefore, on the eve of `Idul Fitr, whereas it maybe very tempting to get together with family members, relatives, and friends, however, due to the risk of the spread of the COVID-19, local authorities have laid down various restrictions for keeping us and other Canadians safe. We will continue to observe these guidelines diligently. 

The holy month of Ramadhan is starting on Wednesday, April 14th, 2021 which will be the first day of fasting. 

Across Canada, Masih Mau`ud (as) Day Jalsa will be held on March 23rd where renowned scholars speak about life and character of the Promised Messiah (as).

On February 20th, Musleh Mau`ud(ra) Day is celebrated throughout the Ahmadiyya Muslim community by holding programs at local and regional levels.

The Waqf ‘Ārḍi Scheme was initiated by Hazrat Khalīfatul-Masīh III (rh) in 1966. Its objective was to prepare every Ahmadī member as a Murabbī [Missionary] and to facilitate religious training of all Ahmadīs. Under this scheme, groups of Wāqifin are sent to outside Jamā‘ats for specified periods of time at their own expenses.

Essence of Fasting

The third pillar of Islam is Fasting, the essence of which is still unknown to people. The reality is that a person is unable to describe the condition of an area or state that he has never experienced.
